The Resurrection and the Life… || QUESTION

“Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in ME, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in M,E shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26

This is the passage in John 11 that has been going through my mind this morning! He is The Resurrection and the Life…. In Him and by Him we find everlasting, eternal life! I love Martha’s instant reply to the Lord when He presented this question to her. Even in the midst of her extreme heartache and loss, she instantly replied Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”(vs 27)  She was filled with great sorrow, hurting, and confused. She couldn’t see why The Lord Jesus hadn’t come sooner to save her brother’s life ( verse 21 “Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.”). But even in the midst of her sorrow, she had faith and knew that Christ was the Son of God… the Messiah and the Giver of life! Perhaps you are finding yourself in the same place as Martha? You can’t understand why the Lord has you going through the heartache you are experiencing or perhaps you don’t understand His timing and feel like maybe He is a little “late”. With God there are no mistakes and He is never late! Trust that He has a purpose and plan that far exceeds your own human reasoning(Psalm 18:30), have faith(Heb 11:6) that He works all things together according to His will(Eph 1:11) only for good to them that love Him(Rom 8:28), and take heart because He is faithful and He makes all things beautiful in HIS time(Ecc 3:11)! 1. For me it has been Psalm 78:52! I love how it shows the mercy of the Lord and His faithfulness, “But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.” Happy Wednesday!!

  2. The two verses I have had on my mind are Proverbs 24:10 and Isaiah 40:29. I have been blessed in comparing them! True hope and Strength are found in the Lord alone!

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” Isaiah 40:29

    Happy Fall, everyone! ???

  3. I have been memorizing Galatians 2:20-21, and have it posted in my kitchen.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.‭ I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness ‭come‭ by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.‭”
Being saved from the Mormon church, these verses are such great comfort & strength to me. It’s no longer what must I do to be saved, but that it was all and is all through Christ. Praise God, what a Savior He has blessed us with! May His grace be with you all.

  4. Thank you for the beautiful desktop wallpaper! It is now on my laptop and it gives me such encouragement every time I sit down to work. I’ve been meditating on Psalm 34:8 this week. “Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good!” Every wonderful flavor of autumn reminds me of His goodness. Blessings!
